No managers for IT cos

February 13th, 2008 by admin

We have seen an increasing trend of IT companies hiring a lot of MBAs in the past. This is all set to change if we are to believe in the latest findings.

The same goes for other industries and hiring people in their specializing. For example an engineering and interior design company would offer jobs to more interior design graduates than MBAs. So if a person has done his passing from Chicago interior design school , there will be more such graduates in that type of company than there will be managers.

Cognizant a big IT company has reported that it now hires only 1 manager for every 30 software engineers. This clearly shows the demand dropping for a management degree.

IBM had earlier come to the IIT Madras campus and recruited a lot of professionals last year, but this year it has dropped significantly.
